SOUTHWEST AUSTIN

Covering the expansive area that extends west of Mopac and south of Lady Bird Lake, Southwest Austin includes Oak Hill, Dick Nichols, Circle C Ranch, Bear Creek, Cedar Valley, Driftwood, Dripping Springs, and Wimberley.

TO DO IN SOUTHWEST AUSTIN

As you head out of the city, the rolling hills play host to a number of small towns that have that signature old Texas charm. A popular spot for visitors, Wimberley has easy access to the Blanco River for days spent floating and swimming with friends, as well as a number of local maker markets to peruse.

Keep heading down 290 until you reach Dripping Springs, where you can tour the Deep Eddy Vodka distillery or enjoy craft beers and scenic views from Jester King Brewery. Plan a wine-tasting excursion to one of the area’s wineries close by—Fall Creek Vineyards, Duchman Family Winery, and Trattoria Lisina & Mandola Vineyard have our stamp of approval.
