It’s National Puppy Day! And what better way to spend this Spring than with your best furry pal?

Whether you’re looking to make a splash, grab a drink, or you just want to enjoy the weather; here are some Springtime activities that both you and your pup can enjoy!

The Greenbelt (Duh!)

It’s Texas, it’s hot, and this is one of the best Austin spots to cool off at! After a good downpour you and your pup should head to your favorite Greenbelt location like Twin Falls, The Flats, Gus Fruh, Campbell’s Hole, or Sculpture Falls! Any of these spots are perfect on a sunny day.

Zilker Park (Also duh!)

How about 350 acres of beauty to have a picnic, throw a frisbee, take selfies together, or meet hundreds of other locals and their dogs?! And while you’re there you can walk to the creek below Barton Springs and jump in!

Yard Bar is the ultimate spot for the both of you! It’s an all-in-one restaurant, bar, and dog park. Get your pal a membership for access to the dog park with plenty of toys and a staff that oversees the playing pups. While your dog mingles; allow yourself to do the same and enjoy some good food and booze!

These are just a few of the many dog friendly places in Austin, so leash up and get out there this Spring; Check out Auditorium Shores Dog Park, Banger’s Sausage House & Beer Garden, and Dogwood for more four-legged friendly outings!
