InTown Housing Explained!

When you are young and right out of college, budgets are stretched thin and sometimes rent is hard to swing when you start looking for an apartment in Dallas! With the summer approaching, prices are already starting to rise and get ridiculous!  We’re here to explain how you can live in a NICER place for LESS money!  InTown Housing is a program that allows people who make between $31k and $39k/year to pay cheaper rent! You also have to make 3 times the rent as well to qualify. If you qualify for this program, there are about 7 properties in central Dallas that offer InTown Housing units! These apartments go fast because there is a limited number but it is definitely worth it because you’re getting discounted rent AND a brand new apartment! Here are some of our favorite apartments that offer InTown Housing units!

COMMON MISUNDERSTANDINGS:

For one bedrooms/studios, you MUST make below $39k/year, yet you do still need to prove that you make at least three times the monthly rent amount.  Also, if you’d like to have a two bedroom InTown housing unit, the two occupants cannot have a combined gross income exceeding $45k.

Your gross income includes your base salary, commissions, bonus structure, and overtime. This total must be less than $39k/year.

InTown housing units go extremely quickly, so if you qualify, give us a call at  214-586-0519 or fill out one of our apartment search forms to get set up with a badass agent!
