The Design District
Stranger Things. Need I say more? I mean, everyone is obsessed with the show. We just can’t stop thinking about it. The Design District is staying on top of their game and throwing a crazy Stranger Things Party at the Taboo Lounge. They are literally transforming the whole place into a Stranger Things themed party with 80’s music and electro that won’t stop all night. The deets: Saturday, October 22nd from 8:00pm – 2:00am at Taboo Lounge… 1418 N Riverfront Blvd, Dallas! $10 online and $15 at the door. Don’t miss the drink specials and waffles. YES, waffles. Super bummed, we just heard it’s sold out… but keep your eyes and ears open, maybe it’ll open up?!
Dallas Arts District
Hey hey friends who love everything artsy. A Preview of Aurora 2017 is happening on October 21st and 22nd on the AT&T Performing Arts Center campus. They are hyping us all up for what 2017 will bring with 10 baller art installations of light plus vids from around the world. There will be vendors in the area for more casual food options, but if you’re into a more lux scene you can purchase a ticket to the Art Bar. If you have to work late, chill out — it goes from 8:00pm to midnight both nights. And yes, it is FREE! Just don’t forget to RSVP… check it out here.
The Stirr in Deep Ellum is the newbie food stop in town! Head over there on Thursday, October 20th from 8:00am – 11:00pm and get your inner foodie on during Dinner with a Cause. The host is The One Society and the beneficiary is the Pet Therapy program. This is an awesome way to meet some new friends, learn more about and support the beneficiary, and all while checking out a new restaurant! Tickets are $35 and includes apps, wine, and din din. Get the details here.
