Even more of our favorite pizza in Austin!
OKAY. We can’t think of anything we love more than pizza. Pizza late at night. Pizza cold in the morning. Pizza while you’re taking a hot bath. All normal places to eat pizza. Austin has some great pizza options so we compiled a list of our 4 favorite pizza spots in Austin.
40 NORTH ON SOUTH 1st STREET
This food truck located on South 1st street is also BYOB which makes it bad ass in our book. Their wood-fired pizza trailer is a cool hangout spot and worth the trip because it’s still relatively unknown. We recommend trying the Hot Honey that is topped with chili-infused bee nectar. Bee nectar is so hot right now so grab some booze and give 40 North a try.
ITALIC IN DOWNTOWN AUSTIN
If you’re looking for something that is on the fancier side of the pizza realm, Italic in downtown is a great option. And who doesn’t love to eat messy pizza off of a white tablecloth?! We recommend trying the wood-fired Soppressato that has a sweet and spicy vibe. Hit up their awesome happy hour from 4:30-6:30!
PIEOUS IN SOUTHWEST AUSTIN
We know this place is good because it’s constantly ending up on lists for the best pizzas in Austin. Located just 30 minutes from downtown, we recommend trying The Rocket or their pastrami sandwiches that taste like legit heaven. Even though it’s an hour commute, it’s totally worth it.
SPARTAN PIZZA ON EAST 6TH
Finally opened as a brick and mortar storefront, Spartan Pizza on East 6th street is all around delicious. If you’re a thin crust pizza fan like we are then you’re in for a treat. Each thin crust pizza is crunchy and buttery golden and covered with yummy toppings. We recommend getting the Athena made with roasted garlic oil, fresh spinach, red onion, mushroom, whole roasted garlic cloves and salt & pepper. *insert drooling emoji*
