Brand New Dallas Apartments Opening Early 2015

by Audrey Swanson

Holy smokes. Can you believe it’s 2015? We can’t. With a new year come all kinds of other new things: resolutions, goals, life changes and, something we’re pretty into, new apartments. The Dallas apartment scene is dynamite right now, guys; it’s exploding. With properties popping up here and there all the time, what’s to say which one is the best for you to move your life into once your current lease or living situation is over?

That’s where we’d like to help. We’ve done the dirty digging and grimy research to bring you a guide of properties opening in this first handful of months in the new year. We’ve explained the phenomenon of new apartments before, but here’s a teeny review: They’re the freaking best. They offer top-of-the-line, never-been-used amenities and features, and they want occupancy, like, the day they open, so they throw out fancy-schmance specials (like one or two months free) to get people in the door fast.

So, as you start this fresh chapter named “2015,” keep these shiny new properties and us in mind whenever you decide it’s your time to move. We’ll get you into a killer space, and we’ll do it for free. No, seriously, free. Call us, beep us if you wanna reac– oh, wait, that’s Kim Possible. Call or text us and we’ll hook you up.

Magnolia on Matilda — This adorably chic, boutique-apartment community is located off Lower Greenville Avenue, the best area for a casual yet fun time at Truck Yard, HG Sply Co., The Blind Butcher and other enticing and local eateries and coffee shops. Spacious one- and two-bedroom apartments with high-end finishes make up this property, complete with stainless steel appliances, professionally designed closets, keyless entry locks, built-in stereo speakers in living rooms and kitchens and in-unit wine chillers. If all that alone doesn’t sell you, maybe the fact that you could be one measly block from Trader Joe’s will. This may or may not be everyone’s dream home. (It is.)

SkyHouse Dallas — Hello, high-rise life. This stunner is in the heart of Victory Park and offers a selection of floor plans, including studios, one-, two- or three-bedroom apartments, each with its own breathtaking city views. If you’ve ever felt like living in a luxury five-star hotel, we’re right there with you. Make that dream come true in this new abode, each unit finished with hardwood flooring, built-in shelving and desks and floor-to-ceiling windows with upgraded solar shades. Bathe in sun next to the rooftop saltwater pool, throw a party in the SkyLounge, walk to the Katy Trail and American Airlines Center, get active in the fully-equipped health club and have a freaking blast at your heavenly new home.

Alexan Fairmount — If you like, or even semi-enjoy, relaxing at a lavish outdoor pool plaza with a fireside lounge, zenning out in a stunningly aesthetic relaxation garden, having access to a tanning studio in the same place you live or choosing from a variety of exercise routines (yoga, spin, weight lifting and cardio included), then this apartment community is the home for you. Located in the eclectic and vibrant Oak Lawn neighborhood, this luxe property is only minutes from uptown and downtown Dallas. With elegant glass-paneled cabinetry, wood plank flooring, high ceilings, stainless appliances and options for private yards, stained concrete flooring, wine racks and audio technology packages, you’ll be spoiled and showered in apartment perfection.

Gables McKinney Ave. — See that there in the picture? That’s a Whole Foods Market you’ll be living above when you move into Gables McKinney Ave. this year. Maybe we just really love nice, fresh grocers, or maybe we really like nice, fresh apartment buildings in the hub of uptown Dallas. Probably both. No, definitely both… But who doesn’t love ’em? Plus, you’ll get the finest in luxury finish-outs, tons of snazzy amenities and you’ll be walking distance to your uptown favorites, like Yutaka Sushi Bistro, Black Friar Pub, Hopdoddy and one of the best brunches around, Bread Winners Cafe. That’s what we call winning. First move-ins start this spring!

Preston Hollow Village — This ain’t your average apartment complex. It’s literally a village–at its completion, it’ll include three eight-story residential buildings with a total of 507 apartment units and over 23,000 square-feet of retail space–situated around landscaped courtyards and a resort-style pool with a swim-up bar. Townhouses and high-rise apartments are both included in the plans, with the first phase set to open this spring. Cast stone and brick facades only hint at the spectacular design incorporated into this unbelievable community. To give y’all some flavor of the residential amenities, just a few include a virtual golf facility, gourmet community kitchen, fitness center overlooking the pool terrace and so, so much more. 2015 is your time to get. On. This.
